MENAL Fest is proud to feature Tatreez & Tea as the first annual keynote speakers for MENAL fest!

Learn about the centuries-old tradition of Tatreez (Palestinian Embroidery) and the meanings it carries from generations past and today as a symbol of resilience.

Workshops | February 1st, 2019 | 12:45-3:45 PM and 5:00-8:00 PM |

Come and learn Tatreez with Tatreez & Tea! Two workshops will be held Friday, February 1st, 2019. Create your own tatreez to take home!

12:45-3:45pm Workshop 1: Tree of Life motif 5:00-8:00pm Workshop 2: Singing Birds of Palestine motif

Friday February 1st, there will be 2 workshops at three hours each. The first hour preps the students and the next two hours are spent working on tatreez one-on-one with Wafa and Feryal. Each student in attendance will be able to bring home their own piece of tatreez, crafted under the tutelage of Wafa and Feryal.

Students must RSVP for the workshop events; workshop space is limited and only one workshop per person. Supplies will be provided. Come create and learn in community! Come create and learn in community!
